We’ve taken plenty of trips to the plain of Africa during our time playing and reviewing Mobile Slots. Game Summary
We think it can. Hot Safari, like many of Pragmatic Play’s Mobile Slots, is simple on presentation but surprisingly sophisticated in execution. The 5x3 layout of the reels and rows is as traditional as it gets, and 25 paylines is nothing to write home about in the modern era, but once you enter the slot, you'll notice that there's a whole sixth reel to the right of the main set. That's what makes Hot Safari stand out, and we'll be talking about it when we come to discuss the slot's bonus features.
Hot Safari Mobile Setup
As with almost all Pragmatic Play Mobile Slots, this is a beautiful product to look at. It takes the ‘hot' part of ‘Hot Safari' very seriously - the land and skies behind the reels are practically on fire with desert heat, providing an orange background glow against the richly colored reels and the symbols on them. There, you'll find the usual set of royal playing cards taking up the spaces for the least valuable symbols. There are five of them running from 10 through to A. You'll be far more interested in the animal symbols though, because they're more valuable! In order, you'll find a meerkat (the same creature that irritates you on a daily basis on adverts for insurance), a gazelle, a zebra, a rhino and an elephant. All of the animals have been rendered perfectly, and face you head on when they appear.
We said there was a little more fun to be had with the bonus features, and to get to the bonus features, you'll need a couple more symbols! First up there's a scatter symbol, which is represented by a baboon. He can only appear on the first, third and fifth reels. He's also the only symbol which can't be replaced by the wild, which is a proud and fierce-looking lion. If he lands on the middle row, he'll expand to fill the entire reel. With a bit of luck, he'll bring you plenty of extra wins in the process!

Bonus Features
There is one bonus game in Hot Safari, and a couple of extra bonus features - one of which is the sixth reel, which we’ll deal with first.
The only symbols on that sixth reel are multipliers, which makes it a Multiplier Reel. It will spin every time you spin the standard reels, and whichever multiplier lands in its middle row will be applied to any winnings you make on that spin. That can be anywhere between 1x and 10x your line bet. There's an extra symbol on the reel though, and that's the super wild symbol.
The Super Wild bonus is a simple one. If the super wild symbol lands on the multiplier reel, an additional wild symbol is added to the other five reels in a random position. This makes it significantly more likely that you’ll land wilds on your next spin. You may even find you strike the slot’s jackpot - land an expanding wild on every real with the 10x multiplier to walk away with 100,000 times your stake!
As well as keeping an eye out for the wild lions, also cross your fingers and hope to see three baboons. If you do, you’ll trigger the Free Spins feature. That’s worth ten free spins of the reels, during which the multiplier reel and the potential of the super wild bonus are still active.
